  • Billing & Transaction Records: When you purchase a promotional tier ("Verified Desk", "Featured Placement"), payments are processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We never store, handle, or possess access to raw credit card numbers or banking credentials. Stripe securely transmits customer metadata, confirmation of payment, and the publication URL to our records.
  • Technical Server Logs: For cybersecurity, DDoS prevention, and bot verification, our edge hosting servers log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, browser user-agent, operating system, and timestamp).

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data in accordance with Article 6 of the EU GDPR under the following legal bases:

  • Contractual Performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): To execute and maintain paid promotional placements and verified indexing agreements.
  • Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): To maintain Platform security, mitigate malicious scraping or denial-of-service attacks, and verify the authenticity of submitted defense portals.

defense.markets does not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or behavioral tracking beacons.

We employ only essential, privacy-preserving session tokens and server-side edge metrics necessary for infrastructure performance, responsive caching, and search routing. You may browse the entirety of the directory without accepting tracking cookies.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data only with verified institutional infrastructure partners strictly required to operate the Platform:

  • Stripe, Inc. (United States / Ireland): Payment processing and subscription lifecycle management. Governed by Stripe's Global Privacy Policy and PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.
  • Vercel, Inc. / Cloudflare, Inc.: Global Edge CDN hosting, SSL encryption, and serverless compute infrastructure.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information or contact details to third-party data brokers, marketing agencies, or corporate entities.
